Terms of service.

Noot is not a therapist, a doctor, a counselor, or a crisis service. Nothing Noot says is medical advice, psychological advice, or diagnosis. If you're in crisis, contact 988 (call or text) in the US, or your local emergency services. If you're in ongoing distress, please see a licensed professional.

Noot holds short conversations with you, reflects what it hears, asks clarifying questions, and stores what you share on your device. It builds a private graph of themes and can surface patterns you might otherwise miss. That's it. It doesn't share your content with anyone, and it isn't designed to replace professional support.

Noot has no traditional account — your device is your identity. Delete the app or use "Delete all my data" in the Profile tab and your locally-stored content is gone. The device UUID we use for rate limiting is anonymous and ages out of our server records over 90 days.

• Use Noot for your own wellbeing and reflection.
• Don't try to extract our prompts, jailbreak the model, or use Noot as a general-purpose AI assistant.
• Don't submit content designed to harm yourself, someone else, or us.
• Don't use Noot to offer services to others, resell its output, or train other models on it.
• If we see abuse on our rate-limit layer, we may block the device UUID.

Noot Premium, once enabled, will be an auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple through your App Store account. Your subscription renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard refund policy.

If you buy a Knot, the sale is fulfilled through Shopify. Our Shopify store's own return and shipping policies apply in addition to these terms. The Knot is a small piece of jewelry with an NFC chip inside — it has no electronics, no battery, and doesn't store any of your content itself.

Noot offers an optional referral program. By participating, you agree to the following:

• You may generate a personal referral code after verifying your email address.
• Each user starts with 3 referral invitations.
• Referral codes are non-transferable and tied to a single verified email.
• Self-referral (using your own code) is prohibited and will result in code deactivation.
• Friends who use a referral code during onboarding receive a one-time offer: 10% off a Knot purchase + free shipping.
• The friend's discount coupon expires 48 hours after generation and cannot be reissued.
• If the friend's coupon is used, the referrer receives a 20% off coupon for their next Knot purchase + free shipping, valid for 30 days.
• Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be combined with other offers.

Fino LLC (dba Harbegold) reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time without notice.

Abuse of the referral system — including fake accounts, automated signups, or circumventing the self-referral block — may result in permanent deactivation of referral privileges.

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email if you've opted in.

Noot is provided as-is. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Noot. We're a small team; use good judgment.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
